The Food for Life’s ‘Out to Lunch’ scheme is coming to Calderdale and is looking for families to volunteer as food detectives!
Food detectives will be asked to visit two local restaurants with their children over the summer holidays and report back on their experiences. Food for life will even pay for your child’s meal!
They are also looking for nominations of local restaurants that can be visited by the food detectives.

But how often do you think about the food your child eats?
According to a recently released report from the Children’s food Trust 86% of parents worry about how their child eats –particularly younger parents and those with kids aged 4-7.
The report, State of the Nation – What Children in the UK are eating, provides a snapshot on how millions of children ate food during 2016 and the challenges that are facing parents due to the food environment of today’s world.
